About the CLBC
The Cincinnati Lawn Bowling Club is a club devoted to the sport of
Lawn Bowling. Its membership is open to men & women of all ages for an
annual membership fee. Club members are happy to teach beginners on lawn
bowling techniques and tips. Guests are welcome to come and learn to
bowl prior to joining. We bowl about 75 days a year on the beautiful
natural grass bowling green located at the Little Miami Golf Center,
3811 Newtown Road, Newtown, Ohio.

The Cincinnati Lawn Bowling Club has been in existence since 1922. Originally, members bowled in the inner green of the now long extinct horse racing track in the Oakley community. The club then moved to a green near Xavier University in 1938 where they bowled for many years. Read a Cincinnati Enquirer article about the club and the game
In 1997 the Hamilton County Park Board had a regulation bowling green installed at their facilities at the Little Miami Golf Center in Newtown. The green is meticulously maintained by the golf center's green keepers and has been recognized by international visitors as one of the finest they have had the privilege to experience.
On the 25th of May 2004 the Hamilton County Park Board dedicated the lawn bowling green at the Little Miami Golf Center in Newtown, Ohio. The green has been named "The Judge Wayne F. Wilke Lawn Bowling Green" in honor of our longtime supporter, the Honorable Wayne F. Wilke.
